Tammie Herring

GospelSongwriter.Com invited and welcomed Tammie Herring to its Board Of Advisors, November 1, 2004.

Tammie started singing in church at the age of 5, began playing piano at the age of 7, and wrote her first song at the age of 17.

Through the years Tammie’s Dad was an evangelist and traveled and ministered with Tammie and the family, they were known as The Lockwood’s. They traveled preaching and singing in revivals and crusades. They performed on a weekly television program “Revival For America”, which aired in Virginia and on Satellite.

Artists such as the Dove Brothers Quartet, Aver Harreld, Craig Fletcher, The Dunlap’s, The Gospelaires, New Dawn Singers, Connie Angel, Fourgiven, The Brown’s, and the Redeemed Quartet have recorded Tammie’s songs.

Tammie’s résumé includes Christian Education Director, Vacation Bible School Director, and Sunday school teacher. She teaches the Youth Class and leads the Ladies Ministry at the Joyful Sound Church. She teaches the Weekday Religious Education class in a local elementary school.

She stays busy as a Mom and a Pastor’s Wife in Augusta Springs, VA. She assists her husband, Michael, at the Joyful Sound Church. She home schools their daughters Sarah and Anna.

Tammie has been affiliated with GospelSongwriter.Com since January 2000. During this time she has participated in and supported this ministry in various ways.
