Field

Our form provides, what is referred to as, field windows or field boxes. You need to type your inquiry information into these fields before submission.

Fields side-marked with a blue asterisk indicates the entry in that field is required. This information is needed for our office and submission confirmation.

Note: Submissions that do not provide required information won't be approved.

Artist Information

Our form provides inclusion for artist name and contact information.

Artist information is made available to our writers so they may submit their songs to the artist for review.

* Artist contact information is placed in the GSC database.

If the artist and the contact person are the same you may leave the contact person field blank.

Note: Although office personnel may submit to Song Search on behalf of the artist, GSC will not approve submissions by A & R directors, managing or booking agencies, other artists, producers and such; experience has proven this not to be conducive. Submissions must be made by the artist or the artist's immediate office assistant, and include the artist's contact information. Contrary submissions are disapproved and deleted, without notification.

* Artist e-mail address is required and added to our Artists e-mail list. The purpose for this list is not only to e-mail GSC news, updates, etc., but most of our artists like to be contacted as a reminder that our service is available to them for future use, therefore we submit e-mail to our Artists list.

* We do not approve submissions containing third-party e-mail addresses. Artists must submit their own, official e-mail address. Third-party e-mail addresses have caused conflict, in the past, thus the e-mail address must be that of the artist.

Important - Authorized Senders E-mail Lists

Note: We do not join Authorized Senders E-mail Lists. If you use an e-mail service that requires GSC and its writers to be approved before we can send you e-mail your Song Search submission will be disapproved, without notification.

If you wish to use our free service you will need an e-mail address that does not require approval for correspondence. Sorry, but we minister to many artists and writers and do not have time to be approved in order for you to use our service.

Record Label

Our form provides indication for the name of your record label. If you do not have a label please leave it blank.

Talent Caliber

Our form provides a field that indicates artist talent caliber, be it novice, amateur, semiprofessional or professional. Indicating your caliber helps our system better serve you.

When indicating your talent caliber please drop the field window to submit choice.

If you are not sure of your caliber click here. This information is for songwriters but the basic principles apply to artists as well.

Purpose

Our form provides a field that indicates your purpose for acquiring songs from our writers. The filed provides a dropdown window revealing your choice of Performance, Recording or Both.

If you plan to secure music for performance only please select Performance. If you only plan to record please select Record. If you plan to perform and record please select Both. Your selection helps our writers better serve you.

Due

The form provides you with a Demo Submission Due Date field. This indicates you are accepting songs for review until, and not after, the date of your choice.

Submissions without due dates are assigned an approximate 30 day due date.

Note: If your Due Date is brief, less than two weeks, please indicate so in our form's Comments section. We serve a lot of artists each month and our writers need time to prepare their submissions. Most artist submit 30 to 60 days in advance but some are near recording and some are in the midst of recording when they submit. Informing our writers of your schedule and brief Due Date helps them to be aware of your needs, and may make the difference of whether or not you receive their songs, at such short notice. Thanks.

Discovered

The form includes a field for you to share how you discovered this site and we sincerely appreciate you sharing how you became acquainted with our service.

Please include the name of the reference, the person, website or business that referred you to our website. This is important to us. Thank you, very much.

Comments

The form allows for additional comments.

You may include information regarding styles, tempos, etc.

Including additional information per your request, you, your group and/or ministry (such as you are a soloist, a trio, a quartet, gender, recording date, looking for a particular theme or message, etc) assists our writers in serving you.

Note: Some of our writers do not pitch songs to artists who do not have some measure of notoriety or they have not been introduced to. They prefer to know at least a little bit about the artist. Therefore, we encourage all artists, especially novice, amateur, and semiprofessionals, to include some additional information, as well as a website or web page address if you have one. Thanks.

Communication

We know most artists are very busy but we also know some artists like to communicate with our writers and inform them when they have made their final song selection. These artists understand that communication makes for great networking and leaves the door open for future submissions from our writers. However, if you find you are just too busy to communicate with our writers feel free to e-mail our office and we will forward your message to them. All of our writers receive correspondence from our office via our G-team e-mail list. Your message will be forwarded via that list, and we are sure they will appreciate knowing your selections have been finalized. Thank you.
