We have successfully networked hundreds of Gospel songwriters with hundreds of Gospel singers since 1999, and we can do the same for you, if you qualify.

Below, we describe what the G-team is, what the benefits are and how you can apply. Be sure to read everything carefully, your G-team membership approval depends on it.

ATTENTION

Before applying for membership (being honest with you) there are 5 things you need to know...

1) We are a conservative, protestant, Christian ministry.

2) We serve "Gospel" music only, not secular music or "clean" or "positive" music, or music that is labeled Gospel but has a weak, watered down attempt at delivering the Gospel message. We are only interested in serving Christian, Gospel songwriters, those who focus on "Obvious Gospel".

3) We send a lot of e-mail to our G-team members.

4) G-team members are required to adhere to all our rules, regulations and guidelines.

5) Membership isn't available for publishers, record companies, recording studios or such like.

Styles

We serve five styles of Gospel music, Black Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, Country Gospel, and Southern Gospel. Southern Gospel is our specialty.

Note: We don't serve rock, hip hop, Christian country, pop, jazz, reggae, or any other style of Gospel music. Contemporary Gospel must be Adult Contemporary Gospel, the same applies for Black Gospel. We focus on the "message" of the song not the "beat" or odd or outlandish instrumentation.

G-team Benefits

So let's take a look at the G-team and the benefits...

G-team

G-team is the name used to refer to the Gospel songwriters who use GospelSongwriter.Com.

We consider ourselves a team because we use GospelSongwriter.Com and our G-team membership to promote our Gospel songs. We have a common goal and desire to glorify Jesus, provide Gospel music to Gospel singers for the Gospel community and ministry and for propagating the Gospel.

We have 3 G-team membership levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Promotion

Our promotional efforts include attracting and inviting artists to logon and use our services. Doing so helps generate opportunities for our writers to submit their songs to the artists.

We advertise via e-mail, postcards, Gospel Songwriter Magazine, special events, etc.

eLead

eLeads are e-mailed to all G-team members.

When artists submit requests for songs via our Song Search service, if their request is approved, our administrator reviews (edits if need be) and e-mails the request to our members/writers.

The e-mailed Song Search request is referred to as an eLead because it is a lead that is sent electronically, via e-mail, to inform our writers that the artist is requesting songs for review.

Our writers receive the eLead and pitch their songs to our artists according to the information the artist includes in the Song Search submission, which is contained in the eLead.

eLeads contain the artist's name, contact person's name, contact information, artist performance format (solo, duo, trio, quartet, etc) talent caliber, primary music style performed, music style desired, demo submission due date, additional comments, etc.

Each member is assigned to one G-team e-mail list division per his/her primary writing style, be it Black Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, Country Gospel or Southern Gospel.

eLeads are e-mailed to each style division per the style of Gospel music the artist requests. So, for example, if your primary writing style is Southern Gospel then you will receive eLeads that contain a request for Southern Gospel songs. If your primary writing style is, let's say, Contemporary Gospel then you will receive eLeads that request Contemporary Gospel songs.

eLead styles

Bronze members see 1 style requested in each eLead.

Silver members can see up to 2 styles requested.

Gold members can see up to 3 styles requested.

Example: if you are a Silver member and an artist requests all 4 styles then you will see 2 of the 4 styles requested; these 2 styles will be in correlation with your primary and secondary writing styles, which you identify in your G-team membership application. If you are a Gold member then you will be able to see 3 of the 4 styles the artist requests.

Profile Page

Silver and Gold (premium) G-team members have a GospelSongwriter.Com profile page, which is linked in our Writers Directory. You can visit our directory to see how the profile pages look.

75% of the artists who visit GospelSongwriter.Com use our Writers Directory. Artists enjoy listening to the songs, seeing the photos and learning about our writers. These artists prefer knowing something about the writers they receive songs from and appreciate our directory.

Profile URL

Premium members have a GospelSongwriter.Com Profile URL (personal web address)

This is a premium our writers enjoy, having their name associated with a website that specializes in networking Gospel singers and songwriters, (and has successfully done so since 1999).

Premium members use their GospelSongwriter.Com Profile URL in their advertising. It enhances their marketing, it looks professional and is appealing to Gospel artists.

Photo

Each premium member's profile page includes a photo of the member/writer.

The photo helps our artists become acquainted with the writer thus making the artist feel more comfortable about requesting songs from the writer.

Liner Notes

Each premium member's profile page includes Liner Notes.

Our administrator formulates Liner Notes via the biography information our writers provide him. Mickey understands "first impressions" so he uses his talent for creating Liner Notes to present each member in the most positive light possible. This is important for both writers and artists.

Contact Form

Each profile page contains a contact form via which artists can e-mail the writer.

The artist cannot see the writer's e-mail address.

Each contact form includes Captcha which helps block Spam, etc.

Mickey receives a copy of each e-mail, sent to our writers via our contact form system, as a monitoring and security measure, and extra precaution in support of our members.

G Lounge

Premium members have access to the G Lounge, via their private member dashboard.

G Lounge is a special page that contains beneficial and interesting information, and is only accessible by premium G-team members.

Share This Writer

Each profile page contains a Share This Writer feature, which is part of a special e-mail system.

Artists use this feature to e-mail their colleagues and invite them to visit that particular member's profile page. It's another great tool we provide to help promote our premium members.

Song Slots

Each profile page includes a MP3 music player.

Our player begins streaming and playing as soon as enough music file is loaded into the player.

Each player contains Song Slots, which means it can hold up to that many songs.

5 Slots: Silver member's player has 5 song slots.

10 Slots: Gold member's player has 10 song slots.

Each song slot can hold a song up to 5 minutes in length.

Songs can be arranged and sequenced in position within the player.

Songs longer than 5 minutes are prohibited.

External Link

The Gold member profile page contains a hyperlink field which Gold members can use to promote their personal website or webpage that is located on another website.

Our artists can click on the link and visit a Gold member's website or webpage in order to listen to the songs located on that site/page and learn more about the writer.

Sliver members don't have an external link

Writers Direct

Gospel Songwriter Magazine has a special advertising feature entitled Writers Direct. Our readers, including hundreds of recording artists, read our magazine and peruse Writers Direct and can contact the writers listed therein, as it includes a hyperlink to the writers listed.

Gold members receive a Free listing in Writers Direct.

The ad retails for $50.00 but Gold members receive it free.

Bronze and Silver members can advertise in Writers Direct but don't receive a free listing 

Membership Fees

Bronze: Free

Silver: $10.00 per month

Gold: $20.00 per month

Note: Premium membership payments are made via major credit card, debited monthly, via our PayPal recurring billing account. (credit card only)

Setup Fee

Setup Fee: $25.00

Each membership has to be processed, and each member's e-mail address has to be added to our e-mail and eLead systems, and premium members' profile pages have to be created. Thus our administrator charges a $25.00 setup fee for each membership.

This fee also tends to discourage writers who aren't serious about our service. We prefer working with Christian, Gospel songwriters who are serious and ready to promote their Gospel songs.

Writers outside the U.S.A. must pay the setup fee with a major credit card.

Writers inside the U.S.A. may pay the setup fee with a major credit card, check or money order.
