The G-team

G-team is the name used to refer to the Gospel songwriters who use GospelSongwriter.Com.

We consider ourselves a team because we all use GospelSongwriter.Com and our G-team membership to promote our Gospel songs, and we have a common goal and desire to provide Gospel music to Gospel music singers/artists for the Gospel community and ministry and propagating the Gospel.

How It Works

GospelSongwriter.Com and G-team membership is not a music publishing company or service, nor is it a social networking website; it is a song acquisition service that helps connect our writers with artists who are looking for songs to review for possible performance and recording.

Artists receive songs from G-team members via two G-team services, which are our Writers Directory and our Pitch Directory.

Writers Directory

If you visit our Writers Directory you will see it leads to the G-team profile pages of our writers. A profile page contains the writer’s photo, liner notes, a music player and a contact form. Artists enter, via our Writers Directory, and visit each profile page to learn about our writers, listen to their songs and contact them regarding their songs.

Pitch Directory

Artists use our Pitch Directory as an alternative to or in addition to our Writers Directory.

The artist enters our Pitch Directory Song Request Form, via our Artist Service page. After completing and submitting the request form (if the request is approved) the artist’s request for songs is posted in our Pitch Directory. Our writers enter the Pitch Directory to view the request and submit their songs to the artist according to the information in the request.

So, be it via our Writers Directory or Pitch Directory, GospelSongwriter.Com helps connect Gospel songwriters with Gospel artists who are looking for Gospel songs to employ.

Membership Benefits

We have two membership levels, Silver and Gold.

Membership benefits vary per membership level.

Membership benefits are described, below, in the next table.

Membership benefits are compared, side by side, below, as well.

Membership isn't available for publishers, record companies, or such like.

Profile Page

Members have their own G-team profile page, which is listed and accessible in our Writers Directory.

Members are permitted and encouraged to utilize and advertise their profile page when pitching and promoting their songs.

Artists can visit each member's profile page by visiting our Writers Directory and clicking on their names, or by typing the member's Profile URL into an internet browser and going directly to the member's G-team profile page.

Profile URL

Members have their own GospelSongwriter.Com Profile URL which is a webpage address that leads to the member's G-team profile page.

The Profile URL includes the member's name...

Example: www.gospelsongwriter.com/yourname

Members are are permitted and encouraged to utilize and advertise their Profile URL when pitching and promoting their songs.

Photograph

The profile page provides for a photograph of the member, which helps our artists become acquainted with the member.

Also, the photo helps artists feel more comfortable about listening to and requesting songs from the member.

Liner Notes

Each member's profile page includes Liner Notes, which is a section that displays biography and portfolio information of the member.

Liner Notes help introduce the member in a favorable way and helps lead our artists to the member's profile music player and contact form.

Our administrator, Mickey Mixon, formulates Liner Notes for all members, using the information they provide him via our Liner Notes submission form.

Contact Form

The profile page includes a contact form artists can use to e-mail members directly.

The form includes Captcha which is a simple feature that helps stop e-mail address harvesting software, Spam sent by Spam-bots, etc.

Public Player

The profile page includes a MP3 music player which anyone visiting the profile page can use to hear Gospel songs written by the member.

Although it is MP3, the player begins streaming as soon as a sufficient amount of the song is loaded for smooth streaming.

Private Player

The Private Player is only available for Gold G-team members.

Gold members have a Public and a Private player via their profile page.

Unlike the Public Player, the Private Player is only accessible via a password, entered via a text link on the Gold member's profile page.

Gold members can change their password anytime and often, and can use their private players for “invitation only” reviews of their Gospel songs.

Player Skinning

The appearance of the music player is referred to as a skin.

Silver member players only have one skin.

Gold membership players have five, interchangeable, skins to choose from and can be changed anytime by the Gold member.

Song Slots

The music player has a certain number of song slots, which means the player holds up to a certain number of songs (song files).

Songs can be up to approximately 5 minutes in length.

The amount of song slots is determined by the membership level.

The Silver membership player provides five (5) song slots.

The Gold membership Public player provides ten (10) song slots, the Private player provides five (5) song slots, for a combined total of twenty (20) song slots.

Share Feature

Share This Writer is a special feature that allows a person visiting the writer’s profile page to e-mail someone (via the writer's profile page) and invite them to visit the writer’s profile page.

The name and e-mail address of the sender and recipient are typed into a special form and submitted. The submission message is a short, simple, prewritten referral which invites the recipient to visit the referred writers profile page. The invitation includes the names of the sender and recipient.

This is a great marketing tool that helps promote the writer’s profile page.

E-mail addresses are not harvested or added to our e-mail list via this feature.

G Lounge

The G-team Lounge (also known by its nickname, G Lounge) is a section, inside the G-team system of GospelSongwriter.Com, where Mickey posts articles, interviews and things of interest for our members.

The G Lounge is where premium members can take their time and peruse what is provided for educational, informational and entertaining purposes.

Premium members access the G Lounge via their profile page dashboard.

Profile Editing

Members can enter and edit their own profile page anytime and as often as they need to.

They can add, replace or update their photo, songs, e-mail address, and password; in accordance with membership regulations.

Writer Directory

A link to each member's profile page is listed in one (1) of the five (5) style divisions listed in our Writers Directory.

The link is listed according to the member’s primary writing style.

Gold members have a link in two (2) style divisions, listed according to their primary and secondary writing style.

Pitch Directory

When an artist requests songs via our Pitch Directory that request is posted in one (1) or more of the Pitch Directory style division pages.

Our premium members access those pages, retrieve the artist's request for songs, and submit their songs accordingly.

Bronze members don't have access to Pitch Directory pages.

Silver members have access to one (1) Pitch Directory page, in accordance with their primary writing style.

Gold members have access to two (2) of the Pitch Directory pages, in accordance with their primary and secondary writing styles.

Web Link

Gold members can have a link on their profile page leading to their personal website or webpage, so artists can learn more about them and their songs.

Promotion

While members are permitted and encouraged to promote their G-team profile page, the staff at GospelSongwriter.Com is also working to bring artists to our members’ profile pages.

The promotional services of GospelSongwriter.Com include attracting and inviting artists to logon and use our Writers Directory and Pitch Directory, giving our members opportunities to submit their songs to the artists.

Membership fees and GospelSongwriter.Com advertising fees supplement the GospelSongwriter.Com budget which includes advertising, so members receive more than just a profile page they receive our promotional support.

Bonuses

Yes, there are bonuses, too. Sometimes our office is informed of products, services, activities, and things that might benefit or interest our members, and we share it via GospelSongwriter.Com and our G-team e-mail list.

Payments

Writers in the USA may pay for membership, products and services via check, cashier's check or money order.

Writers outside of the USA must pay via credit card, only.

Credit card orders are available via phone.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, only.
