Lewis & Lewis Approximately 10 years, Ray served as Publishing Director for Chestnut Mound Music Group, one of the nation’s most successful Gospel music publishers. He left that post to devote fulltime to the ministries of Lewis & Lewis. Laura's song “Walking Back Down”, recorded by the Chandlers, reached the top of the charts. She wrote a string of hits including “I Won't Trade The Old Rugged Cross (To Sing Your Cheatin’ Heart)” recorded by the Kindlers, “I’ll Go On For You” recorded by the Perry’s, and “The Blood Is Still Here” recorded by the Inspirations. Mike Upright & Standing Tall's version of Laura's song “Winner Either Way” went to #14 on the charts. The Inspirations' version went to #5 and was #33 in the Singing News Magazine "Top 40 of The Year" in 2006. Laura’s songs have been recorded by literally hundreds of artists, making her one of Gospel music’s most prolific songwriters. Mickey Mixon said, "I look forward to serving along side Lewis & Lewis once again. I employed their services in other seminars and they did a fantastic job. What a treat this talented duo is." Rick has secured 1,900 recordings for Daywind's staff of exceptional writers which includes Marty Funderburk, Dianne Wilkinson, Gerald Crabb, John Darin Rowsey and Ronny Hinson. Note From Mickey Greetings Dear Gospel Songwriter, I am excited about and looking forward to our convention, and having you there with us. I eagerly anticipate experiencing the ministry of Rick Shelton and Lewis & Lewis, and my staff and I are delighted to be teaming-up with them to serve you. I believe our convention is going to revolutionize the ministry of some of our Conventioneers, they won't leave like they came. Lord willing and if He doesn't return before then, our convention is going to be a fantastic event for Gospel songwriters. Our ministers have a lot to share, we'll have a drawing with prizes, we'll have communion, and our chapel services will be special, impactive and a blessing. I know what we have planned for you and I can hardly wait, I feel like a parent waiting for his children to open the Christmas gifts he has for them. Come be blessed, edified and inspired by spending the weekend and fellowshipping with some wonderful Gospel songwriters, people who care about you and have a kindred spirit and like talent and faith. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our convention or if you need any assistance reserving your guestroom at Maxwell House Hotel. Thanks for coming, we’re going to have a good time in the Lord. Don't forget to mark your calendar. I’ll see you there. Blessings, |
