Fee

Seminar Registration Fee: There is a registration fee for attending our seminars but our chapel services are free.  This one-time registration fee covers all our seminars.  Anyone attending the seminars, must pay the registration fee.

$50.00 per writer
$75.00 per married couple

Again, this single fee covers all the seminars for the entire weekend.

Convention Ministers

Our convention ministers are Phil Cross and Mickey Mixon.

You can learn more about our ministers via our Ministers link at the top of this page.

ATTENTION:  As you may or may not know, Mickey was recently diagnosed with Silent Migraines. This sickness has impaired his vision and hearing to the point that he is currently unable to minister in public and thus will most likely not be able to attend. Mickey said, "While I am broken-hearted I will not be able to attend this year's convention, I have no doubt that Phil Cross is more than able to minister and provide you with a wealth of Gospel Songwriting knowledge and insight. I know you will have a good time fellowshipping, worshipping and learning together and I look forward to seeing you at our 2012 Gospel Songwriters Convention".

NOTE:  Below is our original Convention Schedule; however, due to Mickey's absence the schedule will be reconfigured at the discretion of our key speaker, Phil Cross.

Products

Our revival ministers will have products available for purchase.

As far as we know they are not setup to accept credit or debit cards.

Seminars & Services

Our convention has two major components, songwriter seminars and chapel services. Each day will contain both components.

Schedule

Our convention schedule is described below. It is divided into sections for easier reading.

FRIDAY, March 4th

Seminar ~ 4:00 pm

Lesson: Mickey will be teaching our Friday seminar.

Dinner: After our seminar we will take a dinner break, and then get ready for our Friday evening chapel service.

Chapel ~ 7:00 pm

We begin our Friday evening chapel service with music and worship.

Minister: Phil is scheduled to be our guest minister for our Friday evening chapel service, ministering in song and testimony.

SATURDAY, March 5th

Seminar

Saturday’s seminar will be in two sessions. Phil and Mickey will minister both sessions.

Session One ~ 10:00 am

Lesson: Mickey will begin our seminar, Phil will follow.

Lunch: We will break for lunch following our first session, and after lunch we will recommence our seminar with our second session.

Session Two ~ 2:00 pm

Lesson: Mickey will begin our second seminar session, Phil will follow.

Dinner: After our second seminar session we will break for dinner, and then get ready for our Saturday evening chapel service.

Chapel ~ 6:00 pm

We begin our Saturday evening service with music and worship.

Song: A true professional, integrity, faith and a desire to touch the heart, Phil's singing and songs are sure to bless you.

Communion: After Phil ministers in song we will move into a precious segment of our service, we will share in communion. This will be special because we will participate in communion as a body of Gospel songwriters. We shared in communion during our 2010 Gospel Songwriters Revival and it was a cherished portion of our revival.

Ministry: After communion we will move into another special portion of our Saturday evening chapel service.

SUNDAY, March 6th

Chapel ~ 10:00 am

The details of our Sunday morning Chapel service aren't being revealed at this time. Mickey is working on something special and won't disclose what it is until he believes the time is right.

Song Review ~ 2:00 pm

We break for lunch after our chapel service, then follow lunch with a song review.

Some of our Conventioneers inquired if Phil and Mickey will provide a song review session. Yes, they will team-up and review the songs of several, registered, Gospel songwriters while our attendees observe.

Phil and Mickey will review one song at a time. They will play the demo, so everyone attending can hear each song, plus have the lyrics on the projector screen so everyone can read each lyric.

Having an award-winning, chart-topping writer like Phil Cross critiquing your song is a great opportunity, and Mickey Mixon is known for his candid and prolific ability to critique, so this will prove to be a valuable lesson for students of the craft.

Awards & Jubilee ~ 6:00 pm

We will take a dinner break after our song review session, then assemble for our evening festivities.

We begin with our GospelSongwriter.Com Awards ceremony.

We follow our award ceremony with our Gospel Songwriters Jubilee. Our jubilee is a song sharing session, registered, Gospel songwriters will sing one of their songs for us.

Remember, Gospel Songwriter Day is observed the first Sunday of March, so we will be celebrating this special holiday as well.

Surprises & Anticipation

As you can see, our convention has a lot to offer and will be a premium event. “And There Is More”. We have not shared everything with you, we have some surprises. Yes, we are giving you something to wonder about and to anticipate, kind of like Christmas.

Family

Spouses are welcome and invited to attend.

Teenagers, who are gifted, focused and serious about songwriting, are welcome and invited to attend.

Sorry, no nursery will be provided. While children are welcome and invited to attend our chapel services our seminars will be in a dynamic training/business setting thus won't be conducive for or appealing to children.
